CORDOBA, Jul. 11, 2011 (AMP) — Argentina 2011 : Argentina defeated Costa Rica by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Copa América group stage game on Monday night at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes in Cordoba.
Sergio Agüero scored dual goals
Argentina dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Sergio Agüero in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Argentines further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Agüero '52 and Ángel Di María '63).
