Euro 2016 : Wales defeats Slovakia 2-1
BORDEAUX, Jun. 11, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Wales defeated Slovakia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Euro group stage game on Saturday night at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux.
Wales dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Gareth Bale in the 10th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Welshs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Robson-Kanu with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Welsh top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Wales will meet England at the Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux on June 16, while Slovakia will face Russia.
