LYON, Jun. 16, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Northern Ireland defeated Ukraine by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Euro group stage game on Thursday night at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon.
Ukraine made the Irishs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by McAuley ('49) and McGinn ('90).
The result put the Irish second in Group C with 3 points. Ukraine is bottom with no points. In their last game, Northern Ireland will meet group leaders Germany at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on June 21, while Ukraine will face Poland.
