MUSCAT, Jan. 5, 2009 (AMP) — Oman 2009 : The United Arab Emirates defeated Yemen by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a Gulf Cup group stage game on Monday at the Royal Oman Police Stadium in Muscat.
The result put the Emirati top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, the United Arab Emirates will meet second-placed Qatar at the Royal Oman Police Stadium on January 8, while Yemen will face Saudi Arabia.
