Gulf Cup 2014 : Saudi Arabia and Qatar play out 1-1 draw

RIYADH, Nov. 13, 2014 (AMP) — Saudi Arabia 2014 : Saudi Arabia tied 1-1 with Qatar (halftime: 1-0), in a Gulf Cup group stage game on Thursday night at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh.

The Saudis started off well by taking the lead thanks to Al-Muwallad in the 37th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Qatar with a saving goal from Majid in the 54th minute.

The result left both teams on top of Group A with one point. In their next game, Qatar will meet Yemen at the King Fahd International Stadium on November 16, while Saudi Arabia will face Bahrain.
