La Liga (Week 33) : Las Palmas hold Gijon to 1-1
SPAIN, Apr. 16, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 33: The match between Las Palmas and Sporting Gijon ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday.
Las Palmas players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Bigas Pedro in the 3rd minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Sporting Gijon with a saving goal from Rodriguez Jony in the 48th minute.
UD Las Palmas remains in 10th place with 40 points from 33 games, one point behind Real Sociedad, which has a game in hand.
