SPAIN, Sep. 24, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 6: After a 1-0 victory over Real Betis on September 20, Los Sevillistas lost 3-1 against Athletic Bilbao.
Athletic Bilbao dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Mikel San José in the 26th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Leones further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Balenziaga '66 and Aduriz '90).
Athletic Bilbao climbed to third place with 12 points from 6 games, only one point behind Real Madrid, which has a game in hand.
