La Liga (Week 5) : Bilbao defeats Granada 2-1
SPAIN, Sep. 21, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 5: Three wins in a row for Athletic Bilbao. After their success against Deportivo La Coruna and Valencia, Los Leones continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-1 victory over Granada this Wednesday.
Athletic Bilbao midfielder Raúl García opened the score in the 15th minute, before seeing Granada catch up in the 44th minute thanks to Carcela-gonzalez Mehdi. 1-1 at half time. Los Leones eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Laporte in the 77th minute.
Athletic Bilbao climbed to 7th place with 9 points from 5 games, tie on points with Villarreal CF.
