La Liga (Week 5) : Valencia defeats Alavés 2-1
SPAIN, Sep. 22, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 5: After four straigth defeats, Los Che returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Alavés this Thursday.
Laguardia Victor opened the score in the 28th minute with an own goal, before seeing Alavés catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Gaizka Toquero. 1-1 at half time. Los Che eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Parejo Daniel on penalty with just 2 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Deportivo Alavés are down in 12nd place with 6 points from 5 games, one point behind Real Sporting de Gijon.
