La Liga (Week 5) : Leganés beats Deportivo 2-1
SPAIN, Sep. 22, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 5: After losing 2-1 to Sporting Gijon on September 17 and 1-5 to Barcelona on September 17, Los Pepineros bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Deportivo La Coruna this Thursday.
Deportivo La Coruna had started off well by taking the lead in the 31st minute with a goal by Costa Rican midfielder Celso Borges. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Pepineros nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Luciano Neves '55 and Pires Gabriel '61).
CD Leganés climbed to 10th place with 7 points from 5 games, tie on points with SD Eibar.
