La Liga (Week 5) : Real Madrid and Villarreal play out 1-1 draw
SPAIN, Sep. 21, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 5: Real Madrid was held to a 1-1 draw by Villarreal on Wednesday.
Villarreal players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Villarreal midfielder Soriano Bruno on penalty in the 45th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Real Madrid with a saving goal from Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos in the 48th minute.
Real Madrid remains in first place with 13 points from 5 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Sevilla FC.
