La Liga (Week 4) : Real Madrid defeats Espanyol 2-0
SPAIN, Sep. 18, 2016 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 4: Four wins in a row for Real Madrid. After their success against Real Sociedad, Celta Vigo and Osasuna, Los Blancos continued their sensational form in the La Liga with a 2-0 victory over Espanyol this Sunday.
Real Madrid dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Colombian midfielder James Rodríguez in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Los Blancos further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Benzema in the 71st minute.
Real Madrid remains in first place with 12 points from 4 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up FC Barcelona.
