ENGLAND, Sep. 20, 2014 (AMP) — League One / Match day 9: After five straigth defeats, the Valiants returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Barnsley this Saturday.
Port Vale dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by O Connor in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Valiants further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Marshall with one minute left in regular time.
Barnsley FC are down in 19th place with 9 points from 8 games, one point behind Crawley Town FC.
