League One (Week 15) : Gillingham and Southend play out 1-1 draw
ENGLAND, Oct. 24, 2015 (AMP) — League One / Match day 15: Gillingham was held to a 1-1 draw by Southend United on Saturday.
Southend United players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Mclaughlin Stephen in the 11th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Gillingham with a saving goal from Loft Doug in the 89th minute.
Gillingham FC remains in first place with 31 points from 15 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Walsall FC.
