Murphy Jacob scored tripple goals
Coventry City dominated the first half thanks to goals from Murphy Jacob ('34, '41, '44) and Turner Ben ('37). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Sky Blues further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
Coventry City FC climbed to first place with 37 points from 18 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up Gillingham FC.
