League One (Week 40) : Wigan Athletic beats Shrewsbury 5-1
ENGLAND, Apr. 2, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 40: Four wins in a row for Wigan Athletic. After their success against Bradford City, Swindon Town and Rochdale, the Latics continued their sensational form in the League One with a 5-1 victory over Shrewsbury Town this Saturday.
Grigg Will scored dual goals
Kaikai Sullay opened the score in the 28th minute, before seeing Wigan Athletic catch up in the 33rd minute thanks to Mcaleny Conor. 1-1 at half time. The Latics eventually won the game in the second period with four more goals by Wildschut Yanic ('57), Pearce Jason ('61) and Grigg Will ('66 on penalty, '90).
Wigan Athletic FC climbed to first place with 77 points from 40 games, one point ahead of runner-up Burton Albion FC.
