League One (Week 8) : Port Vale defeats Gillingham 2-1
ENGLAND, Sep. 17, 2016 (AMP) — League One / Match day 8: After their 2-2 draw against Peterborough United on September 10, the Valiants bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Gillingham this Saturday.
Gillingham had started off well by taking the lead in the 25th minute with a goal by Wright Josh. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Valiants nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Streete Remie '76 and Jones Alexander '84).
Port Vale FC climbed to fifth place with 14 points from 8 games, tie on points with Bradford City AFC.
