League One (Week 30) : Walsall beats Northampton 2-1
ENGLAND, Feb. 4, 2017 (AMP) — League One / Match day 30: After their 3-3 draw against Bury on February 1 and 0-0 draw against Millwall on February 1, the Saddlers bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Northampton Town this Saturday.
Northampton Town had started off well by taking the lead in the 23rd minute with a goal by O Toole John-joe. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Saddlers nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Preston Matt '64 and Oztumer Erhun '69).
Walsall FC climbed to 11st place with 42 points from 30 games, only one point behind Bristol Rovers FC.
