League One (Week 39) : Southend defeats Walsall 3-2

ENGLAND, Mar. 18, 2017 (AMP) — League One / Match day 39: Two wins in a row for Southend United. After their 0-2 win against Coventry City on March 14, the Shrimpers continued their sensational form in the League One with a 3-2 victory over Walsall this Saturday.

Walsall had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Moussa Franck ('18, '25). Trailing 2-0 at half time, the Shrimpers nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Ranger Nile '63, Ferdinand Anton '76 and Cox Simon '83).

Southend United FC climbed to 6th place with 60 points from 38 games, 4 points behind Scunthorpe United FC.
