League One (Week 45) : Fleetwood defeats Gillingham 3-2
ENGLAND, Apr. 22, 2017 (AMP) — League One / Match day 45: Three wins in a row for Fleetwood Town. After their success against Peterborough United and Millwall, the Cod Army continued their sensational form in the League One with a 3-2 victory over Gillingham this Saturday.
Gillingham had started off well by taking the lead in the 38th minute with an own goal by Cairns Alex. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Cod Army nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Hunter Ashley '54, Ball David '80 and Dempsey Kyle '90).
Fleetwood Town FC remains in third place with 81 points from 45 games, 2 points behind Bolton Wanderers FC.
