League One (Week 11) : Southend beats Blackpool 2-1
ENGLAND, Sep. 30, 2017 (AMP) — League One / Match day 11: Three wins in a row for Southend United. After their success against Fleetwood Town and AFC Wimbledon, the Shrimpers continued their sensational form in the League One with a 2-1 victory over Blackpool this Saturday.
Southend United dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Wordsworth Anthony in the 5th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Shrimpers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Cox Simon in the 46th minute.
Blackpool FC are down in 9th place with 18 points from 11 games, tie on points with Rotherham United FC.
