League Two (Week 27) : Southend beats Portsmouth 2-1
ENGLAND, Jan. 24, 2015 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 27: Two wins in a row for Southend United. After their 2-3 win against Oxford United on January 17, the Shrimpers continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 2-1 victory over Portsmouth this Saturday.
Webster opened the score in the 24th minute, before seeing Southend United catch up in the 29th minute thanks to Leonard. 1-1 at half time. The Shrimpers eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Pigott in the 70th minute.
Southend United FC climbed to fifth place with 47 points from 27 games, tie on points with Luton Town FC, which has a game in hand.
