League Two (Week 7) : Morecambe beats Newport 2-1
WALES, Sep. 12, 2015 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 7: Three wins in a row for Morecambe. After their success against Notts County and Yeovil Town, the Shrimps continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 2-1 victory over Newport County this Saturday.
Morecambe dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Goodall Alan in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Shrimps further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Mullin Paul on penalty in stoppage time.
Morecambe FC climbed to fifth place with 13 points from 7 games, only one point behind Wycombe Wanderers FC.
