League Two (Week 7) : Portsmouth defeats Wycombe Wanderers 4-2
ENGLAND, Sep. 10, 2016 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 7: Four wins in a row for Portsmouth. After their success against Colchester United, Exeter City and Crawley Town, Pompey continued their sensational form in the League Two with a 4-2 victory over Wycombe Wanderers this Saturday.
Wycombe Wanderers opened the score in the score in the 10th minute thanks to Hayes Paul, before Portsmouth regained the advantage with Burgess Christian ('34), Roberts Gary ('45 on penalty) and Chaplin Conor ('45). Leading 3-2 at the break, Pompey further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Baker Carl in the 53rd minute.
Portsmouth FC climbed to second place with 14 points from 7 games, only one point behind Plymouth Argyle FC.
