League Two (Week 9) : Portsmouth beats Barnet 5-1
ENGLAND, Sep. 24, 2016 (AMP) — League Two / Match day 9: After losing 1-0 to Accrington Stanley on September 17, Pompey returned to winning ways with a 5-1 victory over Barnet this Saturday.
Akinde John opened the score in the 27th minute on penalty, before seeing Portsmouth catch up in the 34th minute thanks to Chaplin Conor. 1-1 at half time. Pompey eventually won the game in the second period with four more goals by Roberts Gary ('50), Baker Carl ('56), Lalkovic Milan ('78) and Rose Danny ('90).
Portsmouth FC climbed to second place with 17 points from 9 games, 2 points behind Plymouth Argyle FC.
