Ligue 1 (Week 3) : Montpellier defeats Metz 2-0
FRANCE, Aug. 23, 2014 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 3: Two wins in a row for Montpellier. After their 0-2 win against Marseille on August 17, Montpellier continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-0 victory over Metz this Saturday.
Montpellier dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ivorian defender Siaka Tiéné in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Montpellier players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Camara with one minute left in regular time.
Montpellier HSC climbed to fifth place with 6 points from 3 games, tie on points with Saint-Etienne and Caen.
