Ligue 1 (Week 21) : Saint-Etienne defeats Angers 2-1
FRANCE, Jan. 22, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 21: After their 0-0 draw against Nancy on January 13 and 1-1 draw against Lille on January 13, Saint-Etienne returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Angers this Sunday.
Angers had started off well by taking the lead in the 17th minute with a goal by Pavlovic Mateo. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Saint-Etienne players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Bamba '51 own and Perrin '74).
Saint-Etienne climbed to 6th place with 30 points from 21 games, only one point behind Guingamp.
