Ligue 1 (Week 33) : Monaco beats Dijon 2-1
FRANCE, Apr. 15, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 33: 6 wins in a row for Monaco. After their success against Guingamp, Nantes, Bordeaux, Caen and Angers, Monaco continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 2-1 victory over Dijon this Saturday.
Dijon had started off well by taking the lead in the 42nd minute with a goal by defender Cédric Varrault. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Monaco players nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Dirar '69 and Falcao '81).
AS Monaco remains in first place with 77 points from 32 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up Paris Saint-Germain.
