Ligue 1 (Week 8) : Monaco beats Metz 7-0
FRANCE, Oct. 1, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 8: Two wins in a row for Monaco. After their 2-1 win against Angers on September 24, Monaco continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 7-0 victory over Metz this Saturday.
Carrillo Guido scored dual goals
Monaco dominated the first half thanks to goals from Lemar ('7), Germain ('23) and Silva ('39). Leading 3-0 at the break, Monaco players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Fabinho '68/penalty, Carrillo Guido '72, '83 and Boschilia Gabriel '89).
AS Monaco climbed to first place with 19 points from 8 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up OGC Nice, which has a game in hand.
