Ligue 1 (Week 5) : Lyon defeats Guingamp 2-1
FRANCE, Sep. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 5: After their 3-3 draw against Bordeaux on August 26 and 0-0 draw against Nantes on August 26, “Les Gones” bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Guingamp this Sunday.
Lyon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Diaz Mariano in the 19th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Les Gones” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Fekir in the 72nd minute.
Olympique Lyonnais climbed to third place with 11 points from 5 games, only one point behind AS Monaco.
