Ligue 1 (Week 12) : Marseille beats Caen 5-0
FRANCE, Nov. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 1 / Match day 12: Two wins in a row for Marseille. After their 0-1 win against Lille on October 29, Marseille continued their sensational form in the Ligue 1 with a 5-0 victory over Caen this Sunday.
Florian Thauvin scored dual goals
Marseille dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian midfielder Luiz Gustavo in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Marseille players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Thauvin '47, '81, Sanson '52 and Mitroglou Konstantinos '76).
Olympique de Marseille climbed to third place with 24 points from 12 games, 4 points behind AS Monaco.
