Ligue 2 (Week 15) : Sochaux beats Tours 2-1
FRANCE, Nov. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 15: After losing 1-2 to RC Strasbourg on November 4 and 2-0 to Niort on November 4, “Les Lionceaux” returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Tours this Friday.
Sochaux dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by defender Rodéric Filippi in the 36th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Les Lionceaux” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Karanovic Goran in stoppage time.
FC Sochaux-Montbeliard climbed to 7th place with 22 points from 15 games, only one point behind Amiens Sporting Club, which has a game in hand.
