Ligue 2 (Week 19) : Nimes defeats Ajaccio 2-1
FRANCE, Dec. 16, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 19: After losing 2-0 to Auxerre on December 9 and 1-2 to Brest on December 9, the Crocodiles returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Ajaccio this Friday.
Nimes dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Rachid Alioui in the 27th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Crocodiles further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Savanier on penalty with just 3 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Nimes Olympique climbed to 9th place with 25 points from 19 games, 2 points behind Le Havre AC.
