Ligue 2 (Week 19) : Sochaux beats Red Star 2-0
FRANCE, Dec. 16, 2016 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 19: Two wins in a row for Sochaux. After their 0-1 win against Amiens SC on December 9, “Les Lionceaux” continued their sensational form in the Ligue 2 with a 2-0 victory over Red Star this Friday.
Sochaux dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by defender Jean-charles Castelletto in the 21st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Les Lionceaux” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sao in the 49th minute.
FC Sochaux-Montbeliard climbed to fourth place with 32 points from 19 games, tie on points with Troyes AC, which has a game in hand.
