Ligue 2 (Week 20) : Clermont defeats Red Star 3-1
FRANCE, Jan. 13, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 20: Two wins in a row for Clermont. After their 3-0 win against Orleans on December 16, Clermont continued their sensational form in the Ligue 2 with a 3-1 victory over Red Star this Friday.
Clermont dominated the first half thanks to goals from Cros Pierrick ('13 own) and Thiam Mamadou ('43). Leading 2-1 at the break, Clermont players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Dugimont on penalty in the 70th minute.
Clermont Foot climbed to 8th place with 28 points from 20 games, only one point behind Amiens Sporting Club, which has a game in hand.
