Ligue 2 (Week 31) : Brest defeats Lens 2-0
FRANCE, Apr. 1, 2017 (AMP) — Ligue 2 / Match day 31: After four straigth victories against Valenciennes, Red Star, Sochaux and Reims, Lens lost 2-0 against Brest.
Brest dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Battocchio Cristian in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Brest players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Joseph-monrose Steven in stoppage time.
Stade Brest climbed to first place with 55 points from 31 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up Lens.
