UNITED STATES, Jul. 1, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 2-1 to Colorado Rapids on June 22 and 4-3 to Philadelphia Union on June 22, the Men in Red returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over San Jose Earthquakes this Friday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Goossens John in the 58th minute.
San Jose Earthquakes remains in 10th place with 22 points from 17 games, one point behind Portland Timbers.
