MLS : Montreal beats Revolution 3-2

CANADA, Jul. 2, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After their 0-0 draw against Columbus Crew on June 25 and 2-2 draw against Sporting Kansas City on June 25, the Impact bounced back with a 3-2 victory over New England this Saturday.

Salazar Michael scored dual goals

New England had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Kamara Kei ('18, '33), while Montreal only scored once Salazar Michael ('40). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Impact nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Salazar Michael '48 and Piatti Ignacio '54 on penalty).

Montreal Impact climbed to fifth place with 24 points from 16 games, 2 points behind Philadelphia Union.
