MLS : Revolution defeats Columbus 3-1

UNITED STATES, Jul. 9, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After three straigth defeats, the Revs bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Columbus Crew this Saturday.

New England dominated the first half thanks to goals from Nguyen Lee ('3) and Trapp Wil ('34 own). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Revs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Kamara Kei in the 71st minute.

New England Revolution climbed to 14th place with 22 points from 19 games, tie on points with San Jose Earthquakes, which has a game in hand.
