UNITED STATES, Jul. 9, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 2-3 to Vancouver Whitecaps on July 2 and 1-0 to Houston Dynamo on July 2, The U returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over DC United this Saturday.
Ilsinho Pereira scored dual goals
Philadelphia Union dominated the first half thanks to goals from Alberg Roland ('20 on penalty) and Ilsinho Pereira ('37 on penalty). Leading 2-0 at the break, The U further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Ilsinho Pereira in the 47th minute.
Philadelphia Union climbed to fifth place with 29 points from 19 games, tie on points with Los Angeles Galaxy, which has a game in hand.
