UNITED STATES, Jul. 31, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: Two wins in a row for Sporting Kansas City. After their 3-0 win against Seattle Sounders FC on July 24, the Wizards continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 1-0 victory over Portland Timbers this Sunday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Peterson Jacob in the 50th minute.
Sporting Kansas City climbed to fifth place with 34 points from 24 games, 2 points behind New York City FC, which has a game in hand.
