MLS : Dallas defeats Portland 3-1

UNITED STATES, Sep. 3, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: Two wins in a row for FC Dallas. After their 1-3 win against Houston Dynamo on August 27, the Hoops continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 3-1 victory over Portland Timbers this Saturday.

FC Dallas dominated the first half thanks to goals from Diaz Mauro ('14 on penalty) and Ulloa Victor ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Hoops further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Zimmerman Walker in the 53rd minute.

FC Dallas remains in first place with 51 points from 28 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up New York City FC.
