MLS : Portland defeats Seattle 4-2

UNITED STATES, Aug. 28, 2016 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 2-0 to DC United on August 21 and 3-1 to Seattle Sounders FC on August 21, the Timbers bounced back with a 4-2 victory over Seattle Sounders FC this Sunday.

Portland Timbers dominated the first half thanks to goals from Andriuskevicius Vytautas ('16), Adi Fanendo ('21), Melano Lucas ('29) and Taylor Steven ('44). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Timbers further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.

Portland Timbers climbed to 11st place with 35 points from 27 games, 2 points behind Montreal Impact, which has a game in hand.
