MLS : San Jose beats LA Galaxy 2-1
UNITED STATES, Jul. 1, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: Two wins in a row for San Jose Earthquakes. After their 2-1 win against Real Salt Lake on June 24, the Quakes continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 2-1 victory over LA Galaxy this Saturday.
LA Galaxy had started off well by taking the lead in the 11th minute with a goal by Van Damme Jelle. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Quakes nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Wondolowski Chris '75 and Salinas Shea '90).
San Jose Earthquakes climbed to 9th place with 26 points from 18 games, tie on points with Portland Timbers.
