MLS : DC United and Toronto tied at 1-1

UNITED STATES, Aug. 5, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: Toronto FC was held to a 1-1 draw by DC United on Saturday.

DC United players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Opare Kofi in the 6th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Toronto FC with a saving goal from Birnbaum Steven into his own net in the 52nd minute.

Toronto FC remains in first place with 44 points from 23 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up Chicago Fire SC, which has a game in hand.
