MLS : Houston defeats San Jose 3-0
UNITED STATES, Aug. 12, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: After their 2-2 draw against Portland Timbers on August 5 and 0-0 draw against Real Salt Lake on August 5, the Dynamo returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory over San Jose Earthquakes this Saturday.
Houston Dynamo dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ellis Alberth in the 21st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Dynamo further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Sanchez Vicente '86 and Manotas Mauro '90).
Houston Dynamo climbed to fifth place with 37 points from 24 games, only one point behind New York Red Bulls, which has a game in hand.
