MLS : Toronto beats Philadelphia 3-0
CANADA, Aug. 23, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: Three wins in a row for Toronto FC. After their success against Portland Timbers and Chicago Fire, Toronto FC continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 3-0 victory over Philadelphia Union this Wednesday.
Toronto FC dominated the first half thanks to goals from Giovinco Sebastian ('10) and Hasler Nicolas ('30). Leading 2-0 at the break, Toronto FC players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Altidore Jozy in the 57th minute.
Toronto FC remains in first place with 53 points from 26 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up New York City FC, which has a game in hand.
