MLS : Chicago Fire beats DC United 3-0
UNITED STATES, Sep. 16, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: After their 1-1 draw against New York Red Bulls on September 9, the Men in Red bounced back with a 3-0 victory over DC United this Saturday.
Chicago Fire dominated the first half as a result of the unfortunate own goal scored by Harkes Ian in the 23rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Men in Red further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Vincent Brandon '62 and Nikolic Nemanja '90/penalty).
Chicago Fire SC remains in third place with 48 points from 29 games, 3 points behind New York City FC.
