MLS : Portland beats Vancouver 2-1

UNITED STATES, Oct. 22, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: Two wins in a row for Portland Timbers. After their 4-0 win against DC United on October 15, the Timbers continued their sensational form in the MLS with a 2-1 victory over Vancouver Whitecaps this Sunday.

Waston Kendall opened the score in the 29th minute, before seeing Portland Timbers catch up in the 32nd minute thanks to Ridgewell Liam. 1-1 at half time. The Timbers eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Mattocks Darren in the 48th minute.

Portland Timbers climbed to 7th place with 53 points from 34 games, tie on points with Seattle Sounders FC.
