UNITED STATES, Oct. 15, 2017 (AMP) — MLS: After losing 2-1 to San Jose Earthquakes on September 30, the Timbers returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over DC United this Sunday.

Blanco Sebastian scored dual goals

Portland Timbers dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Valeri Diego in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Timbers further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Powell Alvas '50 and Blanco Sebastian '60, '86).

Portland Timbers climbed to 8th place with 50 points from 33 games, tie on points with Seattle Sounders FC.
